Poquoson Public Library holds 1000 Books B4K event
The Poquoson Public Library's 1000 Books B4K kick off event was held Jan. 13.
According to a Poquoson Public Library press release, "Families of 35 children 5 years of age and younger became the first to commit to reading 1,000 books to their child(ren) before they go to kindergarten. Each family received a cool notebook in which to keep track of their reading and their first rainbow page on which to record books 1-100. Refreshments were served, games were played, and the Cat and the Hat visited with lots of encouragements to launch these young readers on their journey."
Poquoson Public Library is at 500 City Hall Ave., Poquoson.
