Purple Owl Photography opens new studio in Poquoson
The City of Poquoson has announced that Purple Owl Photography has opened a new studio at 775 Poquoson Ave., Poquoson.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, with owner Julie Harberts, her family and City Council members Ray Vernall and Frank Kreiger in attendance.
Also in attendance at the event were Economic Development Coordinator Charity Gavaza, Poquoson City Manager Randy Wheeler and Director of Parks and Recreation Dave Callis.
Harberts had been operating the business from her home for three years and, due to its recent success, purchased and renovated a building to establish a storefront.
