Purple Owl Photography has new studio
An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the new location of Purple Owl Photography in Poquoson.
Purple Owl Photography celebrated its grand opening Sept. 29 with a ribbon cutting at its new studio at 775 Poquoson Ave., Poquoson.
Owner Julie Harberts and her family were welcomed by Poquoson City Council members Ray Vernall and Frank Kreiger, and Charity Gavaza, Economic Development coordinator. Poquoson City Manager Randy Wheeler and Dave Callis, director of parks and recreation, economic development and special events also attended the event to support the new business.
Since Harberts opened Purple Owl Photography in her home three years ago, business has grown to the point that she needed more space. She recently purchased and renovated her new studio to establish a storefront identity, Gavaza said.
Her motif, carried over to the building, was established on her website at purpleowlphotography.com.
The studio specializes in photography featuring maternity, infants and children.
Appointments can be made at 757-897-3692.
