Hardee's manager charged with filing false police report and embezzlement

The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office is notifying residents about a recent incident involving of filing a false police report and embezzlement that occurred in the Newport News area.

According to the report, "On Sept. 13, Pamela Solomon, assistant manager of the Hardee's located in the 5400 block of Route 17 in York County, filed an armed robbery report with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office. She claimed she had been robbed at gunpoint outside the restaurant on the morning of Sept. 13 by two subjects in masks. She claimed that she was forced to open the restaurant safe and they stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Through the course of investigation it was later determined that the robbery did not occur.

Solomon was arrested at her resident in the 6000 block of Jefferson Avenue on Oct.1. She was charged with filing a false police report and embezzlement.
