York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office seeks information on AutoZone robbery

The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office is seeking information on a robbery that took place at around 8:56 p.m. Sept. 24.

According to a press release, the robbery took place at the AutoZone location in the 2800 block of Hampton Highway.

Witnesses reported the suspect displayed a handgun and robbed the employees of an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a dark-colored fishing hat, a fake beard, black gloves and a gray long-sleeve sweatshirt with a white T-shirt underneath.

Witnesses report that the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction on a bicycle. No one was injured in the incident, according to the report.
