Ashley Nicole Korff to have book signing Aug. 28 at Poquoson Public Library
The Friends of the Poquoson Public Library will host a book signing event with teen author Ashley Nicole Korff from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 at the library.
Korff, a student at Poquoson High School, recently completed her debut book, "The Real Perfect 10:10 Rules to Save the Health of American Girls," published by AuthorHouse.
The book is a wake-up call for young readers at, near or over the obesity line, according to the publisher's website. Korff lost more than 50 pounds at the age of 14 using the rules she outlines in her book.
According to a library press release, Korff presents her own history and victory over overeating and presents a path others can follow to achieve the same results.
The Friends of the Poquoson Public Library exists to focus public attention on the library, stimulate the library's services and facilities, and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library. The organization donated $12,385 to the library last year for programming and computer equipment, according to the library's website.
The Poquoson Public Library is located at 500 City Hall Ave., Poquoson.
