Poquoson Primary School releases second-grade supplies list

Poquoson Primary School has released the second-grade supplies list for the upcoming school year.

Second-grade students will need 24 yellow pencils; a 24-pack of pencil-tipped eraser caps; 12 unlabeled glue sticks, not bottles; two boxes of tissues; two highlighters; two labeled wide-ruled spiral notebooks; two large pink erasers; one labeled, 24-pack of crayons; one four-pack of dry erase markers that are not yellow; one container of baby wipes; one labeled regular-sized plastic school box; one labeled non-rolling backpack or book bag that is not a side sling; one labeled white three-ring, one-inch binder with a clear front pocket; one pair of pointed Fiskars scissors.

Boys are to bring in one box of one- or two-gallon-sized, zip-close bags and an unlabeled hand sanitizer. Girls are to bring in one box of sandwich bags and a bottle of unlabeled pump soap.

All students are required to have an agenda or planner, which can be purchased in the office for $2.50 at the open house.

Please bring all supplies to the open house from 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.

Poquoson Primary School is located at 19 Odd Road, in Poquoson, and school begins Tuesday, Sept. 4.
