DN Studios offers free introductory music lesson

DN Studios, located at 404 Wythe Creek Road, in Poquoson, is offering free introductory music lessons to demonstrate what the studio offers.

The free trial lesson also helps the staff understand what level the student plays at. There is no obligation to purchase after the initial lesson.

Interested students can fill out a form by visiting dnmusic.net/store/content/9-get-a-free-introductory-lesson. and set up an appointment to get started. The form helps place students with the appropriate instructor.

Private and group lessons for children and adults are also offered in piano, bass and drums. Training includes development of music memory skills, music theory, ear training, proper finger exercises, sight reading and advanced rhythm techniques. The studio concentrates on learning while having fun and appreciating music.

Lessons are taught by Doug Norton and his staff. Norton is a professional keyboardist and multi-instrumentalist with extensive touring, recording and performance experience. His background is in jazz and modern music, and his teaching focuses on modern methods. His teaching career has spanned more than 20 years.

The guitar program is headed by Dayne Edinger, and the drum program is led by Jon Gemmill. Both are experienced performers and composers.
