Poquoson Public Library invites teens to 'Dark Chocolate Sundae' Aug. 12
Teens are invited to a Dark Chocolate Sundae event at the Poquoson Public Library on Sunday, Aug. 12 to celebrate summer reading.
The event is scheduled for 3-4 p.m. Teens can create their own ice cream sundaes and those that have completed their reading logs can enter a drawing for an e-reader, gift cards, games, books and more.
Registration for the event can be completed online at ppll.ent.sirsi.net/client/default and clicking on events and programs or by calling the library's circulation desk at 757-868-3060.
The teen summer reading program titled Own the Night was held from June 18 through Friday, Aug. 10 for students in sixth grade to seniors in high school. Dream Big, Read summer reading program for younger children concludes Friday, Aug. 17.
The Poquoson Public Library is located at 500 City Hall Ave., Poquoson. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
