Gas prices in and around Poquoson were lower compared to the average for the country as a whole for the week of July 29, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for two gas stations in and around Poquoson. As of Aug. 2, gasbuddy.com listed the Virginia average at $3.41 and the nationwide average at $3.56.

The least expensive gas price in Poquoson is reported to be $3.39 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which a gasbuddy.com contributor logged as being available at 7-Eleven, 436 Wythe Creek Road.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas price in the area at $3.43, which was being sold at Metro Market, 426 Wythe Creek Road.
