Poquoson Parks and Recreation to sponsor boot camp workout
The Poquoson Parks and Recreation Department will offer “Bull Island Boot Camp” from 5:15- 6:15 a.m. Aug. 2 through Aug. 30 and Sept. 6 through Sept. 27 at the Poquoson Middle School Gymnasium.
The one-hour sessions will include a balanced combination of cardiovascular and strength training, and will be held both indoors and outdoors. Taught by Sibyl Smith, a certified Aerobics and Fitness Association of America personal trainer, participants will go through a variety of exercises, running and training aimed at building up muscle and endurance. The sessions will be held Monday and Thursday of each week.
The cost for the nine sessions in August is $108 and the cost for the seven sessions in September is $84. People are asked to register five days prior and a total of eight participants is needed.
The Poquoson Middle School Gymnasium is located at 985 Poquoson Ave.
