Library offers 'Star Wars' origami, stargazing programs
Poquoson Public Library has announced two upcoming events.
The library will hold a "Star Wars" origami class from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 31.
The class, open to second- to eighth-graders, will teach children how to fold the prepackaged squares into "Star Wars" characters, such as Darth Vader, Yoda and Jedi. Children will also make classic origami shapes, as well.
The following week, the library will host a stargazing and cupcake event from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7.
The event is open to teenagers and will participants will use iPads to map out constellations and view the night sky. Attendees will then design and eat stargazing-inspired cupcakes.
Registration is required for both events.
