Fresh Healthy Vending announces new franchise in Poquoson

Fresh Healthy Vending has opened a new franchise in Poquoson.

The owner of the new franchise is Winifred Trantham, who is searching for locations throughout Virginia to place the new vending machines.

"We are happy to bring fresh vending to Poquoson, Newport News, Hampton and Williamsburg in Virginia. People are ready to embrace this as a way to obtain healthy food on the run," said Dan Negroni, chief executive officer of Fresh Healthy Vending, in a press release. "Those who get one of the vending machines in their facility will find that they do well simply because of what is offered."

The new Virginia franchise joins more than 1,600 machines already placed throughout North America. The machines offer a selection of all-healthy foods and beverages. Machines are stocked with items such as soymilk, yogurt, fresh fruits and vegetables and a variety of other nutritious options.

Fresh Healthy Vending stated in a press release their healthy offerings in the workplace helps to eliminate the junk food, which is associated with causing obesity, higher absenteeism and higher medical insurance rates.

"This is a great way to offer people some healthy food," Negroni said. "Increasingly people are becoming aware of the importance of eating healthy, prompting them to make more nutritious food choices, even on the run."

Fresh Healthy Vending also added Fresh Healthy Café, featuring gourmet coffee vending, to its line-up.

Through a franchise network of more than over 130 franchisees, Fresh Healthy Vending machines are located in places such as school campuses, office buildings, workout facilities, shopping malls, hospitals and military bases.
