Poquoson Police arrest three in conjunction with alleged July 4 assault

Poquoson police have arrested and charged Zachary Warthan, Justin Stevens and Donald Stevens, who are accused of taking part in an alleged assault sometime after 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 4 at Owens Marina, according to Poquoson Police Chief Clifford Bowen.

Warthan, who is 19 and lives on Albacore Drive in York County, is charged with malicious wounding and committing an act of violence by mob. Warthan turned himself in to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail July 7.

Justin Stevens, who is 26 and lives on Hodges Cove Road in York County, is charged with malicious wounding, assault on a law enforcement officer and committing an act of violence by mob. Stevens turned himself in at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail around 4 p.m. July 11.

Donald Stevens, who is 22 and lives on Hodges Cove Road in York County, is charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and committing an act of violence by mob. Stevens turned himself in at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail around 4 p.m. July 11.
