Poquoson library names Yvonne Boone artist of the month
Poquoson Public Library has named Poquoson resident Yvonne Boone its artist of the month.
Boone’s artwork is on display through July 31 at the library, 500 City Hall Ave. Many of her paintings are water-related scenes, and are often inspired by her travels in Greece, Italy and the southwest U.
“Being a Tidewater, Va., native, I love the water, which is a frequent subject in my artwork,” Boone said in an e-mailed press release. “I also love traveling to explore places which appear in many of my paintings and photographs.”
The Poquoson Library is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
For more information on the artist, call 757-876-1913.
