Poquoson teen chosen state finalist in National America Miss Virginia Pageant
Stephanie Chandler, 16, has been named a state finalist in the National American Miss Virginia Pageant, to be held July 9 at the Hyatt Hotel in Reston, Va.
Pageant finalists will compete for the chance to receive a crown, banner and $1,000. The winner will go on to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California.
Chandler is a junior at Poquoson High School. She is a baton twirler with the Islanderettes Marching Group, and spends her spare time with the Old Dominion Dragoons and North-South Skirmish Association, shooting cannons and muskets. Chandler was recently accepted into the Barbizon Modeling School in Virginia Beach.
Chandler is the daughter of Thomas and Jaimie Chandler of Poquoson. Her siblings are Amanda and Vincent Chandler.
