Deadline approaches to enter Emmaus Baptist Church's fundraiser golf tournament on May 5
Monday, April 30 is the deadline to enter Emmaus Baptist Church's fundraiser golf tournament that will benefit the youth of the church for camps and missions.
The tourney will take place on Saturday, May 5 at Kiln Creek Country Club, 1003 Brick Kiln Blvd., Newport News. The cost to sign up is $70 and the fee includes green fees, cart, dinner and prizes. Checks can be made out to Emmaus Baptist Church. Registration can be done at www.emmausbaptistchurch.org/form.
The format will be captain's choice and there will be multiple flights, depending on the number of players. Prizes will be awarded for the first- and second-place finishers in each flight.
Check-in and practice on the driving range will begin at noon. The tournament begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.
Players will have an opportunity to purchase mulligans and participate in other contests during the tournament.
