Daughters of the American Revolution present two Poquoson High School students with awards
The Charles Parish Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently honored two Poquoson High School Students with awards.
Senior Tony Alsbrook was presented the DAR Citizen Award for his patriotism and essay, titled “What It Means to Be a Good Citizen,” by Regent Denise Carson.
Freshman Emily Freeman, president of Moore House Society of the Children of the American Revolution, was also given the Good Citizenship Award for courage, leadership, and patriotism.
The awards were given out during a luncheon on April 10 at Victor’s Restaurant, 402-B Wythe Creek Road, Poquoson.
