Poquoson boys tennis team beats Bethel
Poquoson's boys tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win over Bethel on Monday, March 21 at Bethel High School.
Tyler Cruz earned a 6-0, 6-1 win over Matthew Harney at No. 1 singles and Austin Gillem knocked off Desmond Delaney 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
Reed Clifford beat Anthony White 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and Jason Laufenberger defeated Khalin Reid 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.
Tyler Moore won 6-0, 6-1 against Jihad Hudson at No. 5 singles and Royce Bowden beat Gabe Saunders 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
Gillem and Clifford teamed up to beat Harney and Andre Green 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, and Cruz and Bowden topped Delaney and Reid 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Trace Cruz and Brandon Reiber won their No. 3 doubles match with an 8-6 win over Hudson and Saunders.
Poquoson improved to 3-0 with the win while Bethel fell to 0-1.
