Gas prices in and around Poquoson were lower compared to the averages for Virginia and the country as a whole this week, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.
As of March 2, Gasbuddy.com listed the Virginia average at $3.641 and the nationwide average at $3.704.
Two gas stations in Poquoson are charging $3.50 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which a gasbuddy.com contributor logged as being available at Metro Market, 426 Wythe Creek Road, and 7-Eleven, 436 Wythe Creek Road.
