Poquoson High to honor state wrestling champ
State champion wrestler Jeffrey Ogburn will be honored at a ceremony at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 at Poquoson High School, 51 Odd Road, Poquoson.
At the event, Ogburn will place his picture on the Wall of Champions in the Wrestling Room. He took the title this season in the 126-pound division at AA Virginia State Tournament.
People attending will see a video of Ogburn's championship match. The team will also honor Michael McCormick and Nancy Perry. McCormick is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Perry is a member of the Virginia Chapter of the Hall of Fame.
The ceremony will last about 30 minutes.
