Poquoson grad scores nine in Christopher Newport University's women's basketball victory
Kelly Halverson scored nine points, and had one rebound, one block and one assist in Christopher Newport University's 58-41 road win over Greensboro College on Friday. Feb. 24 in Greensboro, N.C.
Halverson, a 5-foot-7 junior guard, s a 2008 graduate of Poquoson High School, where she was a two-time first-team all-Bay Rivers District selection.
Halverson scored 1,000 points during her high school career.
The daughter of Matt and Cindy Halverson of Poquoson, she majors in communications.
