Investigators with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office are seeking the public's help to solve an assault case.
Around 3 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, a black man assaulted a woman in a parking lot of the Pines of York apartment in the 100 block of Willowood Drive in the Tabb area of York County, according to the press release.
The assault happened when the woman got out of her car and the man came up behind her and said he wanted to talk. The man grabbed her by the arm and tried to stop her when the woman did not stop and kept walking toward an apartment.
The woman began screaming and kicked him and the man fell to the ground.
The woman, who had minor scratch marks on her arm, then went to an apartment and called 911.
There were three other black men with the man, the woman added, but they didn’t approach her or say anything.
She said the man who assaulted her was black, 35 to 40 yars old, 6 foot to 6-foot-2, medium build and had a mustache.
