Estate of Air Force veteran sells Poquoson 3BD
The estate of Jerry F. Benedum sold a three-bedroom, one-bath home at 20 Magnolia Lane in Poquoson to Sam Benson for $150,000 on May 2.
The 1,458-square-foot home in City Center was built in 1965.
Benedum worked at James River Country Club in Newport News for 12 years. He also served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years and worked for the civil service at the Naval Weapons Station for 14 years.
He passed away in December 2011.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 72 home sales in Poquoson during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $217,875.
